Executive Coaching

Ready to transform? Take your leadership and personal effectiveness to a new level? Find ways to make your lifestyle more sustainable? We'd love to support you on that journey.  We work with all leadership levels, from managers to CEOs, across multiple industries to help identify and support the kind of change that really moves the needle, and that is sustainable.

 

We generally work with very high-performing and high-potential individuals looking to maximize their strengths and success while also watching out for any barriers to their ongoing growth and success. Coaching is also particularly helpful when leaders are going through a specific change -- new role, new company, expansion of responsibilities, etc.  What got you here doesn't always work at the next level.  

 

We utilize various style and personality assessments to heighten self-awareness and help you better understand your natural strengths and preferred "wiring". You may also choose to have us gather feedback from your peers, direct reports, manager, or others. Building from there, we'll identify the short list of really impactful changes you'd like to make -- how you'd like to evolve your leadership results and personal effectiveness.  It might mean more intentionally capitalizing on your strengths -- perhaps applying them differently.  Or it could be creating some better approaches in specific areas of development. It's usually a combination of both.

 

Whatever feels most important to your ongoing growth and success, that's where we will support you in setting some measurable development goals, helping you stay accountable to yourself, devising experiments and new ways of thinking, generating insights, and then reflecting on the outcomes (perhaps the most important part, when it comes to real transformational change!). Strengthening habits of self-reflection and continuous improvement ensures positive change will continue after the coaching ends.

 

We can also start with just the assessment and feeback gathering piece, and co-create a leadership development action plan with you.  You can then take the next steps in your development on your own, or decide at that point whether executive coaching is right for you.

 

If you also have an interest in becoming a more mindful leader, we have a specific track that can be included in the executive coaching engagement that focuses on increasing your individual mindfulness and applying that in your work and leadership. Clients often find that mindfulness techniques act as an accelerator to achieving the lasting change and results they are looking for.

 

At the end of 6-9 months, sustainable and meaningful growth is highly probable for those who have deeply applied themselves to the coaching partnership and process. Many clients find themselves with better balance and outlook, more emotional and social intelligence, improved ability to manage challenging situations, more tools in their toolbox providing versatile skills as manager and leader, and better results from their team -- leading to overall higher performance and deeper satisfaction with work and life.

Organizational Consulting

We love a challenge, and we love working with a wide variety of clients and companies.  Our experience in OD practices along with our hands-on experience in designing and implementing HR and people-related programs and processes allow us to span from strategy to execution and provide a breadth of services to our clients.

 

We also offer highly skilled facilitation and can help your leadership team accomplish more together -- from strategic planning to new product development to Board Retreats.  We'll consult with you to create the working session objectives, agenda, approach, pre-work, analysis, etc.  In the meeting itself, we manage team dynamics, flexibly keep the team on task to meet intended objectives, ask the provocative questions to drive new thinking, and capture and synthesize results to make sure there are tangible next steps to move the work forward after the session.

Working Mindfully

We are passionate about helping organizations work more mindfully.  Study after study shows that focus is at an all-time low, and stress at an all-time high. Multi-tasking is a myth yet it's how we all manage our days. Attention Deficit Trait - along with the inability to bounce back from adversity and losing patience with colleagues - eats into employee engagement and into profits. The good news?  Mindfulness training and targeted development programs help counteract this fast-paced, pressured, information-overloaded world -- and increase focus, clarity, and organizational effectiveness -- for overall better performance.

 

Corporate mindfulness training, to put it simply, includes exercises for the mind that help us to become more efficient, more productive, more aware, and less stressed. The practices are simple, but the effects are quite significant. 

 

SwiftRiver Associates can deliver Working Mindfully programs in many formats and environments, including an introductory talk or workshop, as a "plug-in" to an existing development program, or a custom design to fit your needs.  We partner to configure the program format and content to best meet your needs and objectives.
